Sponsor

Invest in the next generation of engineers.

Gold Rush is a FIRST Robotics Competition team forming now in Colma, serving the San Francisco Peninsula. Sponsors provide workshop equipment, robot parts, competition costs, and the resources needed to build a sustainable community robotics program.

What sponsorship pays for

A place to build

Workshop tools, safety gear, storage, and the equipment a team needs to fabricate parts rather than order them.

The robot

Motors, control systems, electronics, aluminum, and the spare parts that keep a machine running through a competition weekend.

The season

Event registration, travel to competitions, and the running costs of a program built to come back for a second season and a third.

Sponsorship levels

Recognition below is what we are planning for our inaugural season. We are still forming the team and building those assets, so exact placement is confirmed with you when you sponsor. Custom packages are welcome.

Level Amount Planned recognition
Community Supporter $500 – $999 Thank-you on our website when we publish a sponsors list
Bronze $1,000 – $2,499 + Logo on team shirt (when shirts are ordered)
Silver $2,500 – $4,999 + Pit banner and open-house invitation (when we compete)
Gold $5,000 – $9,999 + Logo on competition robot; demo visit when scheduling allows
Presenting Partner $10,000+ + Top billing and presenting-sponsor title

Shirt and robot recognition is confirmed by January 15 so we can meet print and build deadlines.

In-kind sponsorship

Goods and services count as sponsorship. For a machine shop or a supplier, this is often the easiest way to make a real difference to what students can build.

If you make, stock, or do something not on that list, tell us anyway — we would rather hear the offer than guess.

Talk to us

Tell us a little about your company and what you have in mind. We'll follow up with a short conversation, not a pitch deck, and confirm recognition and payment details in writing.

Sponsorships and agreements are made with Colma Robotics Foundation, a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) public charity (EIN 42-3757637), which operates Team 11976 — Gold Rush. Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law; the value of goods or services received in return may affect that, so check with your tax advisor.
